Tephracor Expands Operations with Strategic Quarry Partnerships
Tephracor is excited to announce significant advancements to its operations, including the contracting of two quarry operations and progress on a third. These strategic partnerships are crucial to Tephracor’s mission of providing innovative and sustainable agricultural solutions through our flagship product, TephraMax®.
Tephracor’s East Coast and Northwest quarry operations are now fully contracted and Tephracor is also in the advanced stages of securing a partnership with a quarry in the West. These locations have been selected based on Tephracor’s stringent criteria ensuring the highest quality basaltic material and the ability to efficiently transport the material via rail in order to reduce the CO2 footprint. Each quarry plays a vital role in supplying the necessary basaltic material for TephraMax®, allowing us to meet the growing demand for sustainable soil amendments across various regions.
The selection of these quarries is based on rigorous compositional and mineralogical analysis of the basalt ensuring that our soil amendment product, TephraMax®, is of the highest quality and will provide the most benefit to both agriculture and CO2 sequestration. The basaltic material is an industrial byproduct which further aligns with our commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency. Repurposing this byproduct provides a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for improving soil health and agricultural productivity.
Additional advancements have been made in identifying international feedstock material for both European and South American markets.
These partnerships are a testament to Tephracor’s dedication to innovation and sustainability. By strategically selecting quarry locations that meet our stringent quality standards and that facilitate easy transportation, we ensure that our products remain both effective and accessible to farmers nationwide.
