Tephracor Advancing ERW Research on Rangelands
Tephracor is currently conducting specific field tests on existing pastures and seeded pastureland with large commercial agricultural and university partners. These tests aim to demonstrate how Tephracor’s unique basaltic soil amendment, TephraMax®, can enhance soil fertility, promote healthier plant growth, and improve the overall resilience of rangeland ecosystems. By focusing on rangelands, Tephracor is tapping into a significant market opportunity while contributing to sustainable agricultural practices and environmental conservation.
Tephracor recognizes the massive potential for basalt ERW applications in natural and cultivated rangeland, which comprise two-thirds of US agricultural land. Grazing lands are critical for livestock production, and their health directly impacts agrarian productivity. TephraMax® offers several benefits for rangelands, including increased pasture productivity, soil carbon accumulation, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
